Here's how to gift a FASTag Annual Pass to someone else, by using NHAI's Rajmargyatra App
The FASTag annual pass can be gifted through the Rajmargyatra mobile app of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), to non-commercial vehicles that have a valid FASTag.
Used by over 25 lakh National Highway users in just 2 months, the FASTag annual pass has become very popular among the National Highways users in India, within a short period of its launch.
Launched on 15th August 2025, the FASTag Annual Pass provides an easy and economical travel option through about 1,150 toll plazas on National Highways and National Expressways in India.
And now, apart from using the FASTag Annual Pass yourself, you may gift a FASTag Annual Pass to someone else too. The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Govt. of India (MoRTH), announced today on 18 October 2025 that the annual pass can be gifted through the NHAI's Rajmargyatra app.
In their announcement, the MoRTH said that the FASTag annual Pass can be a perfect gift for travellers during this festive season of Diwali (Deepavali) that enables yearlong hassle-free travel on National Highways and National Expressways across the country.
How to gift FASTag Annual Pass?
To gift a FASTag Annual Pass to someone else, first you'll need to have the NHAI's Rajmargyatra app on your device.
On the Rajmargyatra app, you have to click the ‘Add Pass’ option, and then add vehicle number and contact details of the person that you wish to gift the FASTag annual pass. After a simple OTP verification, the annual pass will get activated on the valid FASTag attached to that vehicle.
The FASTag annual pass eliminates the need to frequently recharge your vehicle's FASTag. You can get this pass by making a one-time fee payment of Rs. 3,000 for one year validity or 200 toll plaza crossings. The pass is applicable for all non-commercial vehicles with a valid FASTag.
The annual pass gets activated within two hours on the existing FASTag linked to the vehicle after payment of one-time fee payment through Rajmargyatra App.
Launched on 15th August 2025, the FASTag annual pass has crossed the landmark figure of twenty-five lakh users with around 5.67 crore transactions recorded within two months of its launch. The overwhelming response to the FASTag annual pass shows its popularity among the National Highway users of India.
The annual pass is non-transferable and is valid at National Highway (NH) and National Expressway (NE) fee plazas. At toll plazas on Expressways, State Highways (SH) managed by State Governments or local bodies, the annual pass is not valid and your FASTag will use the existing wallet balance for payments at State Highway tolls and parking etc.
