Alliance Air’s "Fare se Fursat" Fixed Airfare Scheme is launched for giving freedom from fluctuating airfares, to the airways travellers in India

The Civil Aviation Minister Shri Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapu, today on 13 October 2025, has inaugurated Alliance Air’s "Fare se Fursat" Fixed Airfare Scheme that will offer a single fixed fare that remains constant irrespective of the booking date.
This ‘Fare Se Fursat’ scheme, is an initiative by India’s government-owned regional carrier, Alliance Air, which is aimed at giving passengers freedom from the stress of fluctuating airfares and for promoting ease of flying in India.
Under this scheme, Alliance Air will offer a single, fixed fare that remains constant regardless of the booking date, even on the day of departure. Alliance Air was formerly Air India Regional, which is currently owned by the Government of India.
This "Fare se Fursat" Fixed Airfare initiative will be implemented on a pilot basis from October 13 to December 31, 2025, across select routes, to evaluate its operational feasibility and passenger response.
India’s aviation market largely operates on a dynamic pricing model, where ticket prices vary in real time based on demand, seasonality and competition. While effective for revenue management, it often causes passenger frustration due to unpredictable last-minute fares. “Fare Se Fursat” initiative aims to address this long-standing challenge by introducing transparency and stability in pricing.
As per the latest announcement by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt of India, this initiative is also expected to encourage first-time flyers from smaller towns to opt for air travel, strengthening Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of making air travel available, accessible and affordable.
It further states that Alliance Air continues to play a crucial role in ensuring last-mile air connectivity and contributing to the vision of ‘Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik’ (UDAN), making air travel for every Indian a reality.
UDAN means "Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik", which essentially means "the common citizen of the country flies", which is an Indian Government scheme that aims to make air travel affordable for the masses. It is Indian Government’s Regional Connectivity Scheme UDAN, connecting Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities to the national aviation network.
Also under this UDAN scheme, budget-friendly and affordable UDAN Yatri Cafes have been opened at seven Airports in India so far, and it was recently announced that it will also be launched at more airports across India.
Emphasising the contribution of the regional carrier, The Civil Aviation Minister, Shri Rammohan Naidu, described Alliance Air as the backbone of UDAN, and said that “Alliance Air has taken a bold and exemplary step with the idea of One Route, One Fair. It is truly ‘Naye Bharat ki Udaan’ thinking beyond profitability and keeping the focus on public service”.
He said that “The ‘Fare Se Fursat’ scheme perfectly aligns with the core principles of the UDAN scheme. Today, Alliance Air is carrying forward Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of democratising aviation and making it affordable for the middle class, lower-middle class and neo-middle class.”
The static fare system of Alliance Air's new Fixed Fare Scheme aims to eliminate the uncertainty and stress associated with fluctuating airfares, ensuring predictability of costs, even for last-minute bookings.
