During the inauguration of the 7th UDAN Yatri Cafe at Vijayawada Airport, the Minister of Civil Aviation Shri Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapau, had announced that more Udan Yatri Cafes would be established at airports across the country in a phased manner.

UDAN means "Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik", which essentially means "the common citizen of the country flies", which is an Indian Government scheme that aims to make air travel affordable for the masses. The word Yatri means traveller, and the name essentially means Traveller Café or Traveller's Café.

If you've travelled by the airways, you'd already know how expensive food and drinks can be at the airports. So, an initiative such as the UDAN Yatri Cafe is certainly appreciable when they provide quality essentials like food and drinks at affordable prices, thus making things better for the average air travellers or budget travellers.
