Delhi Metro fares increased ranging from ₹ 1 to ₹ 4 (up to ₹5 for the Airport Express Line) depending on the distance of travel.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has revised passenger fares across all their metro rail corridors with effect from today, 25th August 2025 onwards.
Delhi Metro train fares have been revised with effect from today, the 25th August 2025. The increase is minimal, ranging from ₹ 1 to ₹ 4 only. This fare increase depends upon the distance travelled in the metro trains. For the Airport Express Line, the increase in fares is up to ₹5.
The new fare slabs of the Delhi Metro are effective from 25th August 2025 onwards, as per the announcement by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on X.
Details of the revised fares

The Revised Fare slabs (NEW) for Delhi Metro from 25 August 2025, are in the below table, which contains the earlier fares (OLD) as well as the revised fares (NEW) for comparison. The distance slab is in kilometres (km) and the fares in Rupees INR (₹).

A similar increase for the Airport Express Line ranges from ₹ 1 to ₹ 5, is also effective from today, 25 August 2025 onwards. The Revised Fairs for Airport Express Line can be found on the official Delhi Metro Rail Corporation website.
The DMRC has also stated that their Smart Card users will continue to avail 10% discount on the fares, with an additional 10% discount available during off-peak hours.
The previous fare hike by Delhi Metro was 8 years ago in 2017.
